On Sunday, a group of Pushlings walked along the Thames Path from Hampton to Richmond to raise money for charity.
This is roughly 9km and really helped us creep closer towards our goal of 18,000 kilometres in aid of United World Schools.
We met on early Sunday morning at Hampton Wick. While initially, we got lost after taking a couple of the wrong turns (we’ll stick to navigating Ad accounts rather than maps), we managed to quickly get back on track. We enjoyed seeing Rowers darting down the river, boats meandering around and numerous dogs out and about.
Our route took us along the banks of the Thames from Hampton, to Kingston, Teddington, Twickenham and finally Richmond. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a pub lunch on the banks of the river in the spring sunshine.
While we were lucky to have nice weather, a fun group to walk with and a lunch at the end of our walk, children are having to walk similar distances to get to and from school each day. While education is essential to children, globally, one in every six children is still out of school. To combat this issue, United World Schools works in the world’s poorest regions to give every child access to free education.
If you would like to donate towards this amazing cause and sponsor our walk, we would love any contributions, big or small.
